CRITICAL NOTICE: ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE
This privacy policy does not modify or infringe upon the strict attorney-client privilege that protects all communications and case-related materials you upload to or generate through Jurvexis.
01About This Policy
Jurvexis is a legal practice management platform engineered specifically for modern legal practices, bankruptcy practitioners, litigators, and multidisciplinary law firms. This Privacy Policy outlines our standards and practices concerning the collection, storage, processing, and disclosure of personal data gathered through our websites, mobile and web applications, client portals, APIs, and associated cloud services.
We maintain rigorous data privacy controls designed to support our customers' compliance with legal professional obligations, including state and federal ethics rules, ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and international data protection standards.
02Information We Collect
We collect personal information directly from law firms, firm staff, authorized users, and clients, as well as automatically through platform interactions and system diagnostics. The categories of information we collect and the purposes for which they are processed include:
| Category | Description & Purpose |
|---|---|
| Account Information | Name, work email, firm name, role, phone number, billing address, and credentials for authentication. |
| Case & Client Data | Case names, matter descriptions, docket numbers, court filings, client contact details, and document metadata. |
| Usage & Device Data | IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, interaction logs, and platform analytics. |
| Billing & Financial Data | Payment method details, billing contact, invoice history, and subscription tiers (handled via PCI-DSS compliant processor). |
03How We Use Information
We utilize the data we collect solely to deliver, enhance, and optimize Jurvexis services. This encompasses account provisioning, case workflow automation, document assembly, court deadline calculation, secure client communications, and providing prompt technical assistance.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data or legal matter content to third parties for commercial advertising or data brokerage purposes.
06Client & Matter Information
All legal matter data, pleadings, intake forms, and case notes entered into Jurvexis remain the exclusive property of the subscribing law firm and its clients. We operate as a data processor with respect to legal matter files, adhering strictly to the confidentiality instructions of the subscriber.
Our architecture enforces strict multi-tenant database separation, ensuring that no customer firm can view, query, or inadvertently access the confidential records or matters of another firm.
07Data Retention & Security
We employ industry-standard, defense-in-depth security measures to protect law firm and client data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. All data in transit is encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 or higher, including TLS 1.3), and all data at rest is secured using AES-256 encryption within enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure.
Following the cancellation or expiration of a subscription, your account and associated data remain preserved to allow seamless service reactivation and access to historical records. We do not automatically purge customer data upon account cancellation. If you wish to have your account and all associated law firm data permanently deleted from our active production systems, the primary account owner must submit a formal deletion request by contacting us at tech@jurvexis.com.
Upon verification of your request, your data will be permanently purged from active production databases in accordance with standard cloud cryptographic erasure practices, subject only to routine encrypted system backups (which are automatically cycled out in accordance with standard backup retention schedules) or as required to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
08International Data Transfers
Jurvexis is operated from the United States, and all customer data is processed and stored on secure enterprise cloud infrastructure located within the United States. If you access or use the platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the platform, you understand and acknowledge this cross-border transfer.
09Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, applicable data protection regulations—including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA)—grant you rights regarding your personal information.
These rights include the right to access, verify accuracy, correct inaccurate entries, request deletion, restrict processing, and receive an exportable copy of your personal data. Because case records belong to law firms, individuals whose information is contained in matter files should direct their inquiries directly to the responsible legal counsel.
